About the Conference

Innovation and development of aircraft components through these ages have given the industry ability to fly across the globe while giving the operators benefit of running with minimal costs. The aerospace industry has converged into a design methodology that has not seen much review after the large scale integration of jet engines in 1960s. However with tougher environmental targets and regulations that are to be faced by the industry, a greater period of innovation is to be undertaken by the manufacturers. Flightpath 2050 set by the High Level Group of the European Commission on Research in Aviation has given the emphasis that the partnership between EU businesses and the Industry have to ambitiously further reduce noise, NOx and CO2. With this visionary plan, it is anticipated that the industry will have the sufficient technologies and practices to reduce CO2 emissions per passenger kilometre by 75%, NOx by 90% and noise by 65% against the performance of aircrafts operated in year 2000. To build a new viable aircraft, project period and development costs should be reduced. With the current airworthiness regulatory framework there isn't much space for novelty designs. A performance based approach within the regulatory framework will the give the design space to integrate innovative solutions with a clear premise to achieve zero safety risk.

AASST 2018 provides the perfect opportunity for you to do so, as it aims to provide an ideal platform for industry leading researchers, technology developers, industrial players and supply chain partners to converge. Bringing the pioneers together the conference aims to promote the methodologies, exchange of ideas and the way forward to commercialisation.

Call For Papers

Abstracts of about 300 words on any of the above topics are invited by the 1st December 2017. Upon review by the Technical Advisory Panel, notification will be given by the 26th January 2018.

All authors, co-authors, co-chairs (except the key note speakers) have to register for the conference.

Registration Cost:

The cost of the conference will be:

  • £400 + VAT (only for UK)
  • £200 + VAT (only for UK) for Students
  • £200 + VAT (only for UK) for one day attendance

The registration fee includes Conference Proceedings in USB, Lunches, Civic Reception and the Conference Dinner.
